CORONA PREVENTION | FOOD AND NUTRIENTS



VITAMIN C :
  • It is also known as ascrobic acid.

  • Vitamin C is used to prevent and treat scurvy.

  • Vitamin c is an essential nutrient involved in the repair of tissue and the enzymatic production 
    of certain neurotransmitters.


VEGETABLE CONTAIN HIGH IN VITAMIN C:
  • Broccoli
  • Brussels Sprouts
  • Cauliflower
  • Bell peppers
  • Cabbage
  • Turnip Greens
  • Sweet and White Potatoes
  • Tomatoes
  • Lemon


Broccoli:

  • One half cup of  steamed broccoli provides 57% of the Vitamin C          
  • May lowers your risk of inflammatory disease

    Note: Broccoli is different from Cauliflower.

    

BRUSSELS SPROUTS:
  • One cup of cooked sprouts contain vitamin C 83.11% for male  

    and 99.73%  for female.


  • 1 Cup of cooked Brussels sprouts contain 56.2% of calories
    0.78 g of fat.

CAULIFLOWER:
  • One cup of cooked cauliflower provides 72 to 77 Precent of
    Vitamin C.



  • Eating a small head of Cauliflower gives you a 127.7 mg dose
     of  Vitamin C, plus 5 gram of fiber and 5 gram of protien.




 BELL PEPPERS:
  • One cup of chopped red bell pepper has 190 mg of vitamin C.


  • One medium red bell pepper has about 152 mg of Vitamin C.

  • Red bell pepper packs the most nutrition, because they have
    been on the vine longest.

  • Green  Bell peppers are harvest earlier, before they have a chance
     to turn yellow , orange, and the red.


CABBAGE:
  • One cup of raw cabbage has about 30 mg of Vitamin C.



  • While one cup of Cooked Cabbage has closer to 60 mg of
     Vitamin C.


  • Cabbage also contain antioxidants, minerals, Vitamin K 
    and Fiber.

TURNIP GREENS:
  • Both the Turnips and Turnip greens provide over 30% of the

    Vitamin C.

  • Additionally the greens are a great source of Folate, Vitamin K
    and the pro-vitamin A.

  • Turnip greens can help to maintain healthy skin and hair, because
    of their high vitamin A content.

SWEET AND WHITE POTATO:
  • One 124 g serving of sweet potato contain 12.8 mg of Vitamin C.
